Below is a small sample of cases that Attorney Al Messer has successfully defended. Mr. Messer has represented thousands of people; the list below provides examples of successfully defended cases.

Each case is different. The results of a particular case depend on a variety of factors unique to each case. The results Mr. Messer was able to obtain in the cases below do not mean that similar results will occur in all cases he handles, even if the criminal charges are similar.

State v. Morgan

Defendant charged with First Degree Murder of a local pharmacist. Alleged eye-witnesses were present for the homicide. After several days of testimony, and after the State rested their case, the Defendant was found NOT GUILTY of all charges.

State v. Morris

Defendant was originally charged with 30 felonies and misdemeanors. After several days of trial, the defendant was found NOT GUILTY of all charges.

State v. Blanco

Defendant was charged with Marijuana Drug Trafficking. The jury found him NOT GUILTY.

Stave v. Glance

Defendant was charge with Methamphetamine drug trafficking. Jury found her NOT GUILTY.

State v. Handlin

Defendant was charged in Madison County with Attempted Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon on law enforcement officers. After a week long trial the defendant was found NOT GUILTY of the charges.

State v. Roth

A city's human resource director was charged with Felony Obstruction of Justice Misdemeanor Falsifying Documents with pertained to her employment. After trial, she was found not guilty on the Misdemeanor charge and after year long negotiations the State DISMISSED the felony charge against her.

State v. Campbell

Defendant was charged with FIRST DEGREE SEX OFFENSE AND INDECENT LIBERTIES WITH CHILD. After presenting a rigorous defense, all felony charges were DISMISSED.

State v. Stoner
Defendant was charged with Driving While Impaired. After all the evidence was present at trial, she was found NOT GUILTY.

State v. Marlow

Defendant was charged with a DWI in Haywood County and refused the breathalyzer test. After the State presented their evidence and rested their case, she was found NOT GUILTY of DWI.

State v. Evans

Defendant was charged with First Degree Murder of her boyfriend. The jury could not reach a verdict at trial. After the trial, negotiation led to her to only plead guilty to manslaughter.

State v. Johnson

Defendant was charged with Simple Assault on two different people, and Assault on a Female. After testimony, the Defendant was found NOT GUILTY.

Defendant was charged with Driving While Impaired. After all the evidence was presented, the jury found her NOT GUILTY.

Defendant was charged with violation of a Domestic Violence Protective Order. After trial the Defendant was found NOT GUILTY.

State v. Allen

Defendant was charged with Assault on a Female. After trial, the Defendant was found NOT GUILTY.

State v. Foster

Defendant was charged with Driving While Impaired. After trial the Defendant was found NOT GUILTY.

State v. Plemmons

Defendant was charged with Felony Burning of Other Buildings. After the Defendant was charge, and before trial, the Defendants charges were DISMISSED.

State v. Beckett

Defendant was charged with Driving While Impaired based on alleged prescription medication. After all the evidence was heard, the Defendant was found NOT GUILTY>

State v. Allen

Defendant was charged with Assault on a Female. After all the evidence was presented at trial, the Defendant was found NOT GUILTY.
